Da Vinci® Robotic Surgery

North Texas Hospital was the first healthcare facility in Denton County to acquire the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical Operating System.

The da Vinci® Robotic Surgical Operating System incorporates new technology which provides surgeons with superior with superior 3D visualization, improved dexterity and increased precision for the optimal performance of minimally invasive surgery. A number of North Texas Hospital surgeons are currently performing gynecological procedures with the da Vinci® and the System will be utilized for certain urological procedures beginning in the Spring of 2008.

Patients undergoing surgery with the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical Operating System generally experience all the benefits of minimally invasive surgical procedures which include less pain, blood loss and scarring as compared to conventional open surgery. The patient’s recovery is generally faster with minimally invasive procedures.
